Thirty three compounds of substituted 5-isoxazolones were tested against Colletotrichum dasturii and Phytophthora parasitica var. piperina. The fungitoxicity were analyzed according to the structure of the compounds A standard com. fungicide called ortho-phaltan WB 50% was also tested under similar conditions. It is noticed that some of the synthesized compounds in the present investigations have fungicidal activity in the same range.
