Zhu, Yulin published the artcileEffect of different-time administration of parecoxib sodium on emergence agitation in patients underwent gynecological laparoscopic surgeries during general anesthesia recovery period, Application of Sodium ((4-(5-methyl-3-phenylisoxazol-4-yl)phenyl)sulfonyl)(propionyl)amide, the publication is Sichuan Yixue (2016), 37(1), 74-76, database is CAplus.
Objective: To investigate the effect of parecoxib sodium i.v. injection in different time on the emergence agitation (EA) in patients with gynecol. laparoscopic surgeries. Methods: Sixty patients of ASA phys. status 1 or 11, scheduled for gynecol. laparoscopic surgeries under general anesthesia were randomized into two groups, parecoxib sodium group I (group A) and parecoxib sodium group II (group B). Group A were i.v. injected parecoxib sodium 30 mg 30 min prior to the operation and Group B received the same dose but 30 min before the end of the operation. Blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), postoperative pain and emergence agitation were observed and recorded immediately (T0), 5 min (T1), 10 min (T2) and 20 min (T3) after the operation. Variation of blood pressure and heart rate from T0 to T2 from T0 to T2 were compared as well. Results: Higher blood pressure and heart rate were observed in both of the two groups at T2, with statistic significance (P < 0.05). And blood pressure and heart rate change from T0 to T2, emergence agitation and pain score in group A had an obvious improvement compared to group B (P < 0.05). Conclusion: I.v. injection of parecoxib sodium before the operation has a significantly better efficacy on decreasing emergence agitation in gynecol. patients undergoing laparoscopic surgeries.
