5-Phenyl(p-tolyl)isoxazole-3-carboxylic acids were synthesized starting from 3-hydroxyiminomethyl-5-phenyl(p-tolyl)isoxazoles, and their reactions with p-hydroxybenzaldehyde, vanillin, isovanillin, o-vanillin, and ethyl vanillin gave the corresponding esters.
