A novel series of 2-(5-methyl-1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-yl)-5-(5-methyl-3-phenyl-isoxazole-4-yl)-[1,3,4]-oxadiazoles were synthesized from the respective 5-methyl-N’-(5-methyl-1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbonyl)-3-phenylisoxazole-4-carbohydrazides using POCl3 at 120C or by oxidative cyclization using Burgess reagent as oxidant. Newly synthesized compounds were characterized by analytical and spectral (IR,1H NMR,13C NMR and LC?MS) methods. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antioxidant, antimicrobial and antidiabetic activity and were compared with standard drugs.
