The synthesis, isomeric studies, and photophys. characterization of multifunctional cyclometalated Ir(III) complexes containing a fluoro- or Me-substituted 2-[3-(N-phenylcarbazolyl)]pyridine mol. framework are presented. All of the complexes are thermally stable solids and highly efficient electrophosphors. The optical, electrochem., photo-, and electrophosphorescence traits of these Ir phosphors were studied in terms of the electronic nature and coordinating site of the aryl or pyridyl ring substituents. The correlation between the functional properties of these phosphors and the results of d. functional theory calculations was made. Arising from the propensity of the electron-rich carbazolyl group to facilitate hole injection/transport, the presence of such a moiety can increase the highest-occupied MO levels and improve the charge balance in the resulting complexes relative to the parent phosphor with 2-phenylpyridine ligands. Remarkably, the excited-state properties can be manipulated through ligand and substituent effects that allow the tuning of phosphorescence energies from bluish green to deep red. Electrophosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with outstanding device performance can be fabricated based on these materials, which show a maximum current efficiency of 3.4 cd A-1, corresponding to an external quantum efficiency of 2.9% ph/el (photons per electron) and a power efficiency of 3.4 Lm W-1 for the best device. The present work provides a new avenue for the rational design of multifunctional Ir-carbazolyl electrophosphors, by synthetically tailoring the carbazolyl pyridine ring that can reveal a superior device performance coupled with good color-tuning versatility, suitable for multicolor-display technol.

Objective To investigate effects of parecoxib sodium preemptive analgesia on postoperative analgesia and cellular immune function in patients with uterine fibroids. Methods Totally, 116 cases of patients receiving uterine fibroids surgery were selected from March 2011 to Apr. 2014 in our hospital. All cases were randomly divided into advanced group (n = 58) and control group (n = 58). The cases in the advanced group were i.v. injected with parecoxib sodium (40 mg) 30 min before anesthesia, while the control group received 5 mL saline i.v. Postoperative pain conditions of the two groups were evaluated by using visual analog scale (VAS method). The PCIA pump first trigger time, effective compression number and the total amount of fentanyl were recorded. Venous blood was collected before operation, 6 h (T1), 24 h (T2), 48 h (T3) and 72 h (T4) after operation, resp. T lymphocyte subsets of CD3+, CD4+ and CD8+ and NK cells were detected by using FACS Calibur flow cytometer. The ratio of CD4+/CD8+ was calculated Results After 4, 8, 12, 24 and 48 h, the pain scores of patients were significantly lower in the advanced group than in the control group (all P<0.05). The PCIA pump first trigger time was longer, effective compression number and the total amount of fentanyl of patients were less in the advanced group than in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). At T1, T2 and T3, CD3+ and CD4+ were significantly higher in the advanced group than in the control group (P<0.05). At T1 and T2, CD4+/CD8+ was significantly higher in the advanced group than in the control group (both P<0.05). At T2 and T3, the NK was significantly higher in the advanced group than in the control group (both P<0.05). Conclusion Parecoxib sodium preemptive analgesia used in patients with uterine fibroids can reduce postoperative pain, reduce the amount of analgesics, reduce the immune suppression, and improve immune function in patients after surgery.

A synthetic method of isoquinolines, e.g., I from aryl ketone O-acyloxime derivatives and internal alkynes has been developed using [Cp*RhCl2]2-NaOAc as the potential catalyst system. The present transformation is carried out by a redox-neutral sequence of C-H vinylation via ortho-rhodation and C-N bond formation of the putative vinyl rhodium intermediate on the oxime nitrogen, where the N-O bond of oxime derivatives could work as an internal oxidant to maintain the catalytic cycle.
