Cytotoxic studies on the MCF-7 human breast cancer line revealed a structure-activity relation: double blocking of the NO2 group with two CH3 groups rendered the complex completely inactive. The complexes were not significantly active against human cancer cell lines A549 (non-small cell lung carcinoma) and HL-60 (human promyelocytic leukemia) (no data).
